The Geometrical Optics Lab is based on the NI Educational Labo-ratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite (NI ELVIS II) platform. The lab provides a complete set of optical and mechanical components which can be conveniently assembled into setups for conducting experiments in geometrical optics.

With this add-on, students can control light source behavior, use multiple lenses, measure reflected and transient light intensity, manipulate the color of emitted light, and imitate optical communication. The Geometrical Optics Lab is a software add-on for LabVIEW. The add-on includes over 15 visualized experiments that help students learn the basics of geometrical optics and fiber communication based on the NI ELVIS Electronics Device. With this add-on, students can control light source behavior, use multiple lenses, measure reflected and transient light intensity, manipulate the color of emitted light, and imitate optical communication.
